Recently Washington – Liberty HS’s IB Film Crew competed at the 2019 All American High School Film Festival (AAHSFF) in NYC. The festival had over 2,000 student led film teams from all over the world, screened over 700 Official Selections with only 200 nominees. Therefore, the talents possessed by students at W-L HS are among the very best emerging in filmmaking.
Two student films that were chosen as Official Selections and viewed at the AMC Theater in Times Square in New York City, New York were very well received. In addition W-L HS’s team, one out of only 30 teams, participated in the prestigious three-day Invitational Film competition. The team of six students were asked to produce an original film in only 48 hours. The results were astounding, as they were nominated for an Invitational Award at the Teen Indies.
