Students Create Most Awarded Film in Washington – Liberty HS IB Film History

Congratulations to the following students for the continued accolades received for their short film, “An Unexpected State of Mind”.

Cinematographer/Editor: Sydney Fisher, IB Film Class of 2020

Screen Writer: Sydney Miller, Class of 2020

Sound Engineer/Set Producer: Emmett [Brady] Dunne, IB Film Class of 2020

Original Score: Mauricio Alarcon and Vincent Paz, IB Film Class of 2020

Aside from being an Official Selection and Top 10 Best Finalist for the 3-day AAHSFF Invitational, they also recently collected recognition as an Official Selection of Virginia Emerging Filmmakers Festival (2020) and Southern Shorts Festival Award Winner. These recent film laurels make this film THE MOST AWARDED film in W-L IB Film history.

Still waiting on news from Virginia High School League (VHSL) as well as Arlington Student Film Fest (ASFF), but we wish them all the success and good fortune as they pursue a variety of creative paths ahead.
