Library Books!

The library collection has been chosen to support the curriculum and to provide materials for self-directed independent reading. All books check out for three weeks and can usually be renewed unless someone has them on hold.

  • Print Books:
    • Students may check out up to 10 print books at a time using their school ID number.

Destiny

  • Digital Collection:
    • We offer a wide selection of digital eBooks and eAudiobooks through SORA. SORA can be accessed on your laptop through MyAccess or Canvas. There is also an app you can download to personal devices.

SORA

  • Interlibrary Loans:
      • If you can’t find what you want at W-L, we can request books for you from other APS libraries. Just place a request for the book with a library staff member.

Visiting the Library

  • Students are free to come to the library before school, after school and during lunch without a pass.
  • During class time: Students must have a pass to come to the library or be accompanied by a teacher.
  • During General’s Period: Students need to see the library staff for a pass to the library during GP.
  • Please do not eat food in the library or on the balcony.

Research Help

Our librarians are always happy to help you with your research projects, showing you resources and helping you locate appropriate and valid texts. Please don’t hesitate to ask one of us for assistance.

Databases can be accessed through the WL Library Canvas home page.

We have curated a list of Student Research resources that can also help students when working on research and academic projects.

Makerspace

The library offers Makerspace activities during library hours. Please:

    • Be creative!
    • Only take your own work
    • Leave supplies in the Makerspace for others to use
    • Clean up after yourself!
