APS Digital Learning & Innovation
The Office of Digital Learning and Innovation advances student success through the purposeful use of technology, promotes equitable access to digital tools, and supports the development of skills that help learners lead, learn, and grow in a connected world.APS is cultivating a learning community where students are empowered to navigate technology with confidence and care, educators are supported to deliver meaningful instruction, and families are engaged as partners in the process.As technology evolves, our shared commitment to innovation, intentional practices, and safe, balanced digital learning continues to grow.Arlington Public Schools is committed to transparency, inclusion, and thoughtful integration of technology across academic, social, and digital spaces.

Student Support for APS Devices
Issues with your students’ device?
- Report the issue to your teacher or a W-L Staff member
- Next a 2847 ticket is submitted on the students’ behalf.
- Students and families are not able to submit 2847 tickets.
- Technicians are responsible for hardware issues.
- Repairing screen damages, keyboard/trackpad issues, water damage, battery not charging, and other hardware supports.
- Technicians report to the Information Services Department

- ITCs report to their building principals.
- Students can book an appointment with ITCs
- After their teacher (or staff member) submits a 2847 ticket, the student receives a yellow hall pass to visit our Technician, in room 2109.
- Our Technician will give an estimate of when the device will be fixed.
- If the device is damaged students are charged a fee.
- Invoices are sent to the grade level principals, and families
- Invoices can be paid online by emailing [email protected]
- Cash, and check are acceptable (Checks: Arlington Public Schools).
- If for anyone reason families need to discuss the fees, please reach out to your students grade level administrator, counselor, and our school social workers
- Damaged devices are replaced with refurbished devices
- There is a back-up with replacing devices from our APS Warehouse.
Reminders
- It is strongly encouraged that families invest in a case for their students’ device.
- Personal devices are not allowed (Please refer to the APS Cell Phone Policy and Electronic Policy)
- Loaner devices are not given to students
- Students are expected to come to school (each day) with a fully charged laptop and their charger.
- If chargers are lost replacements are $53.16.
