Governor World Languages Academies Summer 2025

Sophomores and juniors are invited to apply for the Governor’s World Language Academies for the summer of 2025 in French, Spanish, German (full immersion), Japanese and Latin (partial immersion).

For a number of years, many Arlington students have been honored for their achievement in foreign language study by being selected to participate in these special summer enrichment programs. These residential academies offer a 3 weeks program of total immersion (French/Spanish/German) or partial immersion (Latin/Japanese) , taught by outstanding faculties. The programs include classes in the language and its culture in a full schedule of engaging cultural and recreational activities.

If you would like to be considered for nominations fill out the Preliminary Application Form and submit it by Friday November 15, 2024 to your Foreign Language Teacher or World Languages Department Chair, Mrs. Karaky (Danielle.karaky@apsva.us Room 3207). Participants for all the academies are selected on a competitive basis.
