Library Check-out

The library collection has been chosen to support the curriculum and to provide materials for leisure reading. All books check out for three weeks and can usually be renewed unless someone has them on hold.

• Print Books:
  • Students may check out books at the circulation desk using their school ID number.  Students may check out up to 10 print books at a time.
• Digital Collection:
  • We offer a wide selection of digital eBooks and eAudiobooks. Go to the eBooks and eAudioBooks link to access our digital collections.
• Interlibrary Loans:
  • If you can’t find what you want at W-L, we can request books for you from other APS libraries (check the Online Catalog to see if another school owns it). Just place a request for the book with a library staff member.

Coming to the Library

• Students are free to come to the library before school, after school and during lunch without a pass.
• During class time: Students must have a pass to come to the library or be accompanied by a teacher.
• During General’s Period: Students need to see the library staff for a pass to the library during GP.
• Please do not eat food in the library or on the balcony.

Computer Use

Please follow the guidelines set down in the Acceptable Use Policy for proper use of school computer equipment and the Internet. Also think green when needing to print!

Databases

The library offers students and faculty a wide variety of subscription databases for targeted, accurate research. Go to the W-L Library Canvas page and click on High School Databases to access for access.

Makerspace

• The library offers Makerspace activities during library hours. Please:
  • Be creative!
  • Only take your own work
  • Leave supplies in the Makerspace for others to use
  • Clean up after yourself!
