The Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) testing window at Washington – Liberty will take place on select dates between May 24 – June 7, 2021 and at 8:30 am.
*** All SOL testing must be administered in-person, so all classes will be virtual asynchronous (unless told otherwise by a classroom teacher). ***

Testing Schedule for Washington – Liberty High School
Students must report to testing rooms BEFORE 8:30 am.
ONLY REPORT TO SCHOOL IF YOU ARE SCHEDULED FOR AN SOL TEST ON THAT GIVEN DAY.

SOL Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Who needs to sit for the SOL in 2020-21?
- All 9th Graders in Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II
- All 9th Graders in a Science course (Biology, Earth Science)
- All students in Biology
- 11th Grade Language Arts (Both Reading and Writing SOL)
- Any student enrolled in a Math or Science SOL class who needs the verified credit – Please check with your counselor.
- Any student enrolled in a Virtual VA Social Studies course
NOTE: All hybrid and distance-learning History / Social Studies classes will take performance-based assessments, scored using the State rubric.
When is your SOL test date?
- Distance-learning students will test on asynchronous Mondays, May 24 and June 7.
- Tuesday / Wednesday Hybrid students will test on Tuesday, June 1 and Wednesday, June 2.
- Thursday / Friday Hybrid students will test on Thursday, June 3 and Friday, June 4.
- Students who report for in-person instruction Tuesday – Friday will be assigned a testing date on one of the hybrid days.
When and where should you report for the test?
One week before the testing window, you will receive an email at your APS Student Outlook Email.
This will include the SOL test, testing location and time.
How will Distance-Learning students report for testing on asynchronous Mondays?
APS transportation will be provided at the beginning and end of the day for eligible students. Please check StudentVUE (Student Info and Additional Information) for the bus stop and time. Please bring schoolwork to do as you wait for the dismissal bus.
Breakfast and LunchGrab and Go Breakfast and lunch will be available on all testing dates.
When will students be dismissed from testing rooms?
As soon as students finish their SOL test, they will be dismissed. Students who use APS transportation will remain at school until buses arrive at the usual dismissal time. Students should bring schoolwork to do as they wait for the dismissal bus. Students with their own transportation must leave campus immediately after being dismissed from an SOL.
