APS: Vaccination Requirement for Student – Athletes Start Nov. 8th

Student-athletes will submit documentation of their COVID-19 vaccination to their school athletic department. If a student is unable to be vaccinated, in order to participate in athletics, they must submit to daily COVID testing with negative test results using the APS resources (no home testing accepted).

Washington - Liberty HS leads all Arlington Co. (VA) High Schools with accolades from Better Sports Club (BSC) of Arlington. Another fabulous showing by W-L Athletes and the Arlington BSC Coach of the Year – our own Field Hockey and EL Teacher, Beth Prange. Congrats to all these student-athletes and the coaches who took the time to bolster our athletic programs for all.

Student-athletes are now permitted to resuming athletic workouts and activities while our staff will be following strict COVID-19 precautions mandated from APS. Furthermore, ALL SCHOOL FACILITIES (stadiums, track, fields, etc.) WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC when in use for sanctioned team activities. Coaches must be present. It is important that the community respect this closure and practice social distancing to maintain the health and safety of our students, coaches, and staff.
