Cappie Award Nomination for Outstanding Comic Actress- Emilia Couture (’19)

Washington – Lee HS student, Emilia Couture (class of 2019), has been nominated for a Cappie Award as Outstanding Comic Actress in a musical for her wonderful performance as Paulette Bonafonte in the school’s spring production of “Legally Blonde”.

The Cappies are an organization that honors the best of high school theatre. Washington – Lee is a part of the National Capital Area region which had about 60 plays and musicals reviewed this year. The awards will be announced at the Cappies Gala at the Kennedy Center on May 27th. Tickets for the Gala are $45 and can be reserved by contacting Keith Cassidy: keith.cassidy@apsva.us
