9th Grade Laptop Distribution

Hello Generals and Welcome to Washington-Liberty High School!

As you embark on your high school journey, you’ll need a new tool for success. During this event you are returning you APS iPad and charger, for a APS MacBook Air Laptop and charger. During Laptop Distribution, you will meet our Instructional Technology Coordinators (ITCs), Ms. Osther and Ms. Navas. They serve as our first line of defense for technology issues and our technology coaches throughout our high school journey. They work in a closer capacity with our APS Office of Academics. You will also meet our technician, Mr. Adams, who defends and fixes our laptop’s hardware and software issues. Our technician works closest with our APS Information Systems Department.

What to Expect During Laptop Distribution: 

• You will not  receive your MacBook without returning both your APS iPad and charger.
• Rising 9th graders are required to attend this event.
• All rising ninth graders are required to complete the AUP lesson before receiving their laptops.
  • APS Policy I-9.2.5.1 Electronic Technologies Acceptable Use 
  • Visit APS Digital Learning Environment for APS approved Digital Tools.
  • This lesson will be held in the Annex building on the second floor.
  • Upon completion, students will proceed to the first floor to pick up their devices.

• Laptop Distribution is for our rising ninth graders only, and will occur August 5, 6, 8, & 9.
  • No Laptop distribution Wednesday August 7.

• Families are expected to follow their appointment times.
  • Make up date is August 22, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
  • Our distribution of laptops will continue when school begins, August 26.

• Students must log into their devices before leaving the area.
  • If there are any issues, please notify our ITCs immediately.
