The Senior Boat Party is a special Graduation Night event for 2026 W-L graduates. It gives W-L Seniors a super high school send-off and a last big hurrah with all their classmates.  This activity has been a longstanding, successful tradition at Washington-Liberty.

This year’s party will be held on the Potomac River boat cruise It docks at the DC Wharf and cruises up and down the Potomac. The party is an exciting evening full of fun that will include a DJ, dancing, games, photo booth, and refreshments.

Ticket Delivery: Student names will be on the guest list on the night of the event when they check in at Washington-Liberty. Students will get a special wristband which will allow them access to the bus and the boat. Boat party tickets are $88.00/person. Partial scholarships are available for any student to whom this would present a hardship (please see your guidance counselor for details).

Schedule:10:00 pm – 11:00 pm Check-in takes place at Washington-Liberty, outside the main door to the cafeteria. Students’ names are checked against the master list of tickets purchased and wristbands are issued to students once checked in. Students wait in the W-L cafeteria until it’s time to board the buses. Students board buses. Only students who have checked in and are wearing wristbands will be allowed to board.

10:00 pm – 10:45 pm Buses depart Washington-Liberty for Spirit of Mt. Vernon.11:00 pmBoarding vessel (Departing: Pier 4, 580 Water St SW, Washington, DC)

12 midnight – 2:30 am Spirit of Mt. Vernon cruise on the Potomac River, with refreshments, entertainment and activities.

2:30 am – 3:00 am Students disembark and board buses for return to Washington-Liberty.

3:00 am – 3:30 am Students arrive at Washington-Liberty.
