Senior Dues – $60

Senior Class dues cover the costs of graduation related expenses, such as Caps &
Gowns, graduation venue, event security, diplomas, diploma covers and the printing
costs of programs and tickets. All students are expected to contribute to class dues. If a
student is experiencing undue economic hardship, they should speak to the activities
office regarding payment.

  • The link to pay online is HERE (A small transaction fee is applied)
  • Find Senior Class Dues 25-26
  • You can also use the link to pay prior years dues. Recall dues are $60 for
    this year and $25 for 9th – 11th grade.
• Cash or Check:
  • Pay Mr. Jimenez in the Annex, or Ms. Macias or Ms. Brown in the main
    office.
  • Checks should be made payable to ‘Washington-Liberty HS – Class of
    2026 Senior Fees,’ drop off in Annex or Main Building.

Dues must be paid and up to date (all years) before you can purchase a Prom ticket
and/or receive your cap and gown.

Obligations:

ALL outstanding obligations/deficiencies must be cleared before you may purchase a
prom ticket and/or receive your cap and gown.

Obligations include:

• All class dues have been paid
• MacBook Air and charger have been returned
• ALL outstanding balances have been cleared.
  • Textbooks, sports uniforms, library books, Macbook devices, chargers,
    etc.

The Class of 2026 will celebrate a RED CARPET Prom

⏰ Time: 8pm – 11pm

📍 Location: Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel (2800 S Potomac Ave, Arlington, VA 22202)​

💵 Ticket price: $60 for W-L students and $65 for guests

• Tickets will go on sale the week of the dance (Monday, April 20-Thursday, April 23)
• Tickets will be sold during all lunches
• Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

Arlington Public Schools has provided you with technological resources to support your learning inside and outside the classroom while enrolled in the district. As we approach the end of the school year, seniors and withdrawing students are required to turn in any technological device (MacBook Air and charger, wireless hotspot, etc.) that was loaned to you while enrolled in Arlington Public Schools. Please read the information below carefully.

Preparing Your MacBook for Turn-In

Save all of your files and work to an external device, such as a flash drive. Save everything that is saved directly on your computer, everything in your Google Drive, everything saved in OneDrive (Office 365), and on any Arlington Public Schools network drive. Once you have saved your work, sign out of iCloud if you are signed in.

A few other items to keep in mind:

• Remove any exterior cases or stickers that have been added to the device.
• Clean the entire laptop. A wrung-out disinfectant wipe works well.

Laptop Turn-In

All seniors are required to turn in their working laptops, chargers at the end of the school year. We will work with our Information Services department to develop a return schedule.

2026 Timeline at a glance:

• Monday, March 2 – Senior Experience Kickoff Video Posted & Canvas course invitations sent

• March/April 2026 – Student Information & Parent Permission Form due in Canvas
• Mid April 2026 – Senior Experience Application due in Canvas
• Early May 2026 – Mentor Confirmation due in Canvas
• May 15, 2026 – Senior Survey due in Canvas
• Friday May 22, 2026 – Last day of school for Seniors who have satisfied all graduation requirements
• Saturday May 23-Wednesday June 10, 2026 – Senior Experience: Seniors who have satisfied all graduation requirements can work at their job, volunteer, or complete a special project during the day. Students will log their hours on a timesheet throughout these 2.5 weeks,which will be signed by their mentor and submitted in Canvas at the conclusion of Senior Experience. Students will also submit a reflection in Canvas at the conclusion of Senior Experience.
• Thursday June 11, 2026: Senior Day at W-L, MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal at 9:45 am in the Gym.
• Saturday June 13, 2026: Graduation at 9:00am at Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax, VA

  • This event includes food, music, games, and time to socialize with classmates.

Rehearsal & Ticket pickup

All seniors must attend the Senior Day, which includes graduation rehearsal in the gym, on June 11. We will review all expectations and procedures for our Class of 2026 commencement ceremony. Following rehearsal, students will be able to get their graduation tickets, cap and gowns, cords and medals.

***All seniors should make sure they have paid their dues and taken care of any outstanding obligations/deficiencies prior to getting their graduation tickets.

Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony will take place at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA. The procession will begin at 9:00 am

Student Attire

• We ask that senior students dress nicely as this is a special occasion. Suggestions include pants/slacks, dresses, blouse, button down shirt, polo, etc
• Shoes: low heels or dress shoes for your safety (steps from stage can be hard or steep)
• Senior students may decorate their cap in a school-appropriate manner and should not cause disruption. Caps will be inspected during check-in.

Guest Ticket Information

• Each 2026 graduate will receive 8 guest tickets, to be distributed on Senior Day, June11
• Every guest who enters EagleBank Arena must have a ticket – including children 2 years and older.
• If you need extra tickets, we recommend asking your classmates for any tickets that they will not use. We will provide more information if we have a surplus of tickets
• If you do not anticipate needing all 8 of your tickets, you may send Ms. Shivers an email to let me know how many you plan to use and how many you will be able to return so they can be then be passed forward to those in need
• Lost tickets are not replaceable.

EagleBank Arena Information and Regulations for Guests

• Doors will open for entry at approximately 8AM

The Graduation Program

• Students will not be allowed to carry anything into the ceremony at EagleBank Arena.They will not have a place to store purses or backpacks.Transportation
• APS buses will be available at Washington-Liberty to provide transportation to EagleBank Arena if needed. Buses will depart Washington-Liberty at no later than 6:45AM
• Parents and guardians must secure their own transportation to EagleBank Arena.

After the Ceremony

• APS school buses will be available to transport students back to Washington-Liberty, if needed. Buses will arrive approximately 30 minutes after the ceremony ends
• During the graduation ceremony, students will receive diploma covers on stage. Diplomas will be distributed to each student at Eagle Bank.

The Senior Boat Party is a special Graduation Night event for Washington-Liberty Class of 2026 graduates. It gives seniors a fun send-off and a final celebration with their classmates. This long-standing Washington-Liberty tradition offers a memorable way to mark graduation night!

June 13, 11:00 PM – 2:00 AM • Potomac River cruise from the DC Wharf with music, dancing, games, and refreshments.
